Update on Our Family

Well, a lot has happened over the last year. We adopted another little boy and I am finding that it is easiest to keep everyone posted on the family events with this little blog. I am doing it more for our kids. Also, I want to blog about our families adoption story and document the wonderful events of the next year as we get ready to take another sweet little boy to the temple to be sealed to us. We are so excited about this. Heavenly Father has blessed us so much!

Okay...so I tried the blogging thing and I decided that it isn't for me. We are on facebook which has been more interactive with family and friends. Traditions

We just finished the best Thanksgiving weekend ever! We spent the weekend cooking, baking, eating, sleeping, decorating, oh and in the emergency room (that part wasn't fun). We spent Thanksgiving day with our friends the Beck's. After Thanksgiving, we started to get ready for Christmas. We pulled out all the decorations and got busy putting everything up. K.J. loved it. He loved the lights especially. We also kept the tradition of going down to the Mesa Temple to see the lights. We love this time of year.

Family Walks

Well we are finally seeing some cooler days here in sunny Arizona. Yes it is almost December and our lawn is green, we have flowers growing in our front yard and our highs are still in the 80's. But we have had a few mornings where we have pulled out the hat and jacket for our family walks. I have to say I do long for the snow covered mountains and cuddling up with a blanket by the fireplace. We have a fireplace in our home but we have only used it a few times. We are so excited though because we are going home for the holidays. We love this time of year! Our first Christmas with our sweet little son. Oh and KJ loves his toothbrush...it is his favorite toy.

We just had to blog about our Utes.....BCS here we come!!! We are proud of our team and are hoping they come to Arizona again for the Fiesta Bowl so we can go to the game. Another undefeated year! Let's Go Crimson Red!!

Talking

We always knew that KJ was going to be a talker. He started cooing when he was 5 weeks old and sure enough he is saying his first words. The other day while Kurt was on his way to the temple (Kurt is an ordinance worker in the Mesa, AZ temple) I put the phone up to KJ so he could hear his Dad and as soon as I put the phone to his ear he said, "hi." Then this week he started to say, "Duke." It is the cutest thing. Now everytime he sees Duke, he smiles and says his name (by the way, Duke is our dog). Funny, he is talking but he still isn't crawling....he is getting really close. KJ and Duke

Getting Into Things

Here we go!! KJ is officially getting into things. He is growing up way too fast. It is so much fun watching him discover all the fun little things in life!

A Special Weekend

We wanted to post a few pictures from Kenneth's sealing and blessing. He was sealed to us the last weekend in August at the Salt Lake Temple, and Kurt was able to bless him the same weekend. We were so happy to be with many family members and friends. This was such a wonderful time for our little family. Kenneth loved the temple. We will never forget this special day and weekend!

We Love Halloween

I love Halloween. Some may think it is strang but Halloween is my favorite holiday. We went to our first Trunk-or-Treat with K.J. We had all kinds of fun. He was up way passed his bedtime but he didn't seem to mind. We are just so grateful for these new experiences.

My Two Bottom Teeth

They are finally in! K.J. got his first two bottom teeth. They made their debut a couple of weeks ago. He is having all kinds of fun nibbling on anything he can get his hands on.

Finally Starting to Blog

I have finally decided to create a Neeley Family blog. We want to be able to keep in touch with friends and family so we figure this is a good way to do it.
